Instructors Wanted – PABA is always expanding our educational offerings and draws on our membership, when qualified, to help provide instruction to the Pennsylvania Community. If you are interested in becoming an instructor, presenter or panelist, please let us know. (PLEASE NOTE: our classes are professional instructional sessions; they are not sales pitches for any one business.) Most needed subject areas: Financial Planning, Social Media Marketing, and Sales Prospecting.
PABA has developed a series of single-day comprehensive classes on subjects of use to the Pennsylvania business community and individuals in general. Offered throughout PA, these classes are open to all – PABA members and non-members alike. There is no obligation to join.
Financial Planning for Individuals and Businesses – NEW! – this single session course and panel discussion covers the core tenants of personal and small business finance including life insurance, investing, setting appropriate goals and retirement savings. This course assumes no previous knowledge or experience and is appropriate for those of all comfort levels.
Grant Writing Classes – A step by step hands on course that covers all the necessary aspects of writing a successful grant including the researching of funders, building, organizing and customizing proposals. Course material includes a preparation checklist, a glossary of terms, information on finding funders by type, sample proposals, letters and budgets. No previous experience is assumed or required. This course is appropriate for anyone interested in researching and writing grant proposals.
Excel Classes – This comprehensive single-day training class provides the fundamentals of Excel’s most important features – including navigation, formulas, functions, handling data, shortcuts, charts, tables and pivot tables. Perfect for complete beginners and experienced users alike.
QuickBooks Classes – This comprehensive one-day class will provide you with the essentials any user needs to effectively manage your bookkeeping records using QuickBooks. This class requires no previous experience or technical background and is perfect for those of all comfort levels.
Social Media Marketing Classes – Social media is always changing and changing rapidly, yet it delivers powerful results for many businesses. This workshop will help you better understand which social media tools might be right – or wrong – for your industry, and specifically how to utilize them in a time efficient manner.
WordPress Classes – Learn how to create and update WordPress websites and blogs in this hands-on single day class. No previous experience or technical background is required. Perfect for everyone of all comfort levels. The class includes understanding the new Gutenburg editor.
